Certificate of Origin
Movement certificates EUR.1 or EUR.MED
Goods originating in countries having a free trade agreement with Switzerland can usually be imported duty-free or at reduced rates of duty. This is called customs preference.
If the exporter is not an authorised exporter and the value of the goods exceed CHF 10’300 or EUR 6’000, a EUR.1 or EUR.MED is required for the preference declaration. For China, the special EUR.1 CN with English wording must be used.
Form A or SoO
Form A is required to claim the preferential tariff rate when importing goods from developing countries. However, this will successively be replaced by the Statement on Origin (SoO) within the REX system (REX = Registered Exporter)
